History
Bir Gurkhali
The blood and sweat shed by our ancestors have not dried up on the battlefields even today. We have not forgotten their sacrifice and courage, that is why even today we are known as brave Gurkhas all over the world. We are still continuing this 200-year history. Even today, the world trembles when we hear our name, the enemy's heart trembles when we hear our voice. The German ruler Hitler had said, "If the Gurkha army had been with me, I would have conquered the world." Similarly, recently, after returning from the war in Afghanistan, British Prince Harry also openly praised the Gurkhas in a press conference.
Our ancestors shed blood and sweat, fought in Burma, Italy, France, Germany, and other European.countries in the First and Second World Wars, and received the Victoria Cross (VC), followed by Brunei and The Gorkhas played an important role in preserving the existence of countries like Singapore. Whether it was the Hindu-Muslim civil war in India or the Kargil or Jammu and Kashmir wars, the Gorkhas played an important role. Similarly, whether it was the Falklands War or Kosovo, East Timor, Iraq, and most recently the war in Afghanistan, they participated in the M.C. and received medals like the M.C. The first M.C. was received by Kaziman Limbu, while recently Deep Prasad Pun proved to the world once again that he is the son of a brave Gorkhali. Even today, to protect the reputation of his ancestors who are more than two hundred years old, these brave Gorkhali descendants come with their chests puffed out at the age of 17/2, whether it is the British Army, Singapore Police or the Indian Army. Even today, due to the same faith and courage, Gorkhas have been given important security responsibilities in Britain, Brunei, and Singapore, and have also guarded the sensitive border in India. Training centers are being run today, surrounded by this 200-year-long history of the Gorkhas.
